Johnson Pope who stands charged with maliciously and felonishly shooting wounding and maiming Thomas Pretlow with an intention to kill these said Thomas Thomas was again Set to the bar in custody of the jailor of this County, and thereupon Sundry witnesses to wit Thomas Pretlow, Henry Moore, Amos Adams, James Jenkins, Collin Kitchin, Joseph Joyner, William Davis, Richard Jenkins, and others were sworn and examined touching the premises of the case was fully heard by Counsel the Court after hearing the Testimony and all the circumstances of the case are of the openion and do accordingly by order that the prisoner be discharged from further prosecution for the said supposed offence _ Absent Samuel Drewery. Jacob Barnes, Gent. ---- Ordered that the account of Carr Bowers Shff amounting to $63.85 to be certified to the Auditor of Public accounts for his examination & payment ---- Holladay Revelle Jr. who stands charged with felony in maliciously stabbing William Hansel with a knife with intention to main disfigure, disable or kill the said William Hansel this day appeared in Court in discharge of his recognizance entered into on yesterday and was set to the bar in custody to the jailer of this County and for reasons appearing the examination of the said Holliday Revelle is adjoined until the next Court and therefore the said Holliday Revelle with Matthew Vick, Joel Vick and Benjamin Bunn his securities here in Court severally acknowledged themselves unto John Floyd Governor of the Commonwealth of Vir ginia that is to say the sale Holliday Revelle in the sum of 100 dollars and the said Matthew Vick, Joel Vick and Benjamin Bunn in the sum of 33 dollars & 33/3 cents each of their respective goods and chattels land and tenants to be levied and to the said Governor and his successors for the use of the commonwealth rendered Yet upon this condition that if the said Holliday Revelle shall personally appear before the justices of the County Court of Southampton at the place appointed for holding the Court on the first day of the Next term then and there to abide by and perform the order of the Court which shall be made against him for the felony for which he stands charged and shall not defiant thence without the leave of the said Court then this recognizance to be paid or else to remain in full force and virtue. ---- Ordered that the account of Susan Lane once ammounting to $1.59 and the then ammounting to $3.59 be severally certified to the aiditors of public accounts for his examination and patment
